Geis acquires agotrans Logistik and further strengthens its position

The Geis Group continues to grow. On July 1, 2025, we will acquire all shares in agotrans Logistik GmbH, based in Rodgau near Frankfurt am Main. This move strengthens our activities in the economically powerful Rhine-Main region and expands our presence in the IDS network. It follows on from our previous strategic acquisitions of Quehenberger, Gras, and Krüger branches.

agotrans is a family-owned company with over 50 years of history and approximately 120 employees. It provides shipment delivery services within Germany and Europe, full truckload transport, contract logistics, and specialized services for the automotive industry. It is a long-standing partner of Online Systemlogistik in the area of groupage services.

The agotrans branch in Rodgau will take over the functions and region of the current IDS branch in Aschaffenburg, thereby expanding the total number of Geis branches within IDS. With 13 of the total 54 branches, Geis will become one of the largest partners in the German IDS cooperation for groupage transport.

This acquisition is another step in our group's long-term growth strategy. Following the takeover of Quehenberger in 2023 and the expansion of our activities in Germany in 2024 through the acquisition of the Gras Group and Krüger branches, we are confirming our strong position in the European logistics market. Stable growth and targeted investments are proof of our group's good health and its commitment to providing customers with top-quality logistics solutions.

The transaction is subject to approval by the antitrust authorities.
