Since 2015, we have been supporting the AVON Walk for Healthy Breasts and we are delighted to see it becoming more successful and well-known every year. For the AVON Walk again this year Geis SK is again providing logistics services so that everything needed for the Walk itself is in place on time.
Clowndoctors, Red Nose or medical clowns have been bringing joy and smiles to sick children in hospitals or seniors in nursing homes for 15 years. Today, 63 clowns from the Red Nose civic association bring a smile to the faces of people who have been forced by fate to a hospital bed. Last year, they were awarded for their activities by the Slovak Public Defender of Rights. The work of clowns is demanding, they are trained professionals who make more than 200 visits to hospitals per month. To make training and recruiting new clowns a little easier, we at Slovak Geise decided to contribute to the civic association just for new teaching aids and clothing.
Once again we can be part of "Let's Read". This specific project is organised by the Children's Safety Line, which performs a very important function for child victims not only in Slovakia, but is also a member of the network of emergency child helplines from all over the world, or the European Federation of Missing and Sexually Exploited Children.
We are pleased to be able to participate in a project that aims to popularise a much-needed service such as the Children's Helpline, and which also aims to show children how beautiful reading can be.
The 21km Half Marathon is a sports day for the whole family or individuals with charitable overtones. The residents of Bratislava and the surrounding area have the opportunity to do something not only for their health, but also to contribute to the activities of the Children's Safety Line with their entry fee and thus help children. Corporate teams can also participate in this project and compete for the main prize, which is evaluated from the total number of kilometres run. The free and anonymous Helpline handles around 80,000 calls a year from children and young people looking for a safe space to talk about anything that interests or worries them..
