Up to half of the elderly suffer from loneliness. That is why we decided to support lonely seniors in the ADRA run. And we succeeded!
For the fourth time, we as a company took part in a charity run aimed at helping those who really need it.
As part of our long-term cooperation with the humanitarian organisation ADRA, we always choose carefully which project we will support. As we are a family-owned company that honours traditional values, we decided to help the elderly at the turn of September and October.
For every registered athlete, ADRA received a donation and the proceeds from the event, over a quarter of a million crowns, went this fall to train and connect volunteers with older people who feel alone. This brings us one step closer to ensuring that no one has to be alone.
We are thrilled with how seriously the Geis athletes who signed up took the challenge. This is evidenced by the beautiful third place overall among the corporate teams with 943.5 kilometres walked and run. Our colleague from Liberec contributed significantly to the success of the entire team with his fabulous 288 m and second place in the men's category.
We would like to thank all our colleagues who actively participated in the race.
